The Long Goodbye
When the Doctor uttered those words "He has PSP" the fear of the unknown set in. What in the world is PSP.This diagnoses came in January 2011 and would forever change our lives and those around us. We left the Doctors office in shock thinking alright we have waited years for a diagnosis and now we have one. What do we do next. deej
The Begining
In retrospect I can see very subtle signs of this devastating disease PSP. Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Finally after several long years we can put a name to all his symptoms.
This disease is so rare that more often than naught it is
diagnosed as Parkinsonism. First it was just a balance problem and the begining of so many falls which lead us to one Doctor after another. Just trying to find out what was going on with him. Every day is a struggle but we will get through it together along with three beautiful daughters. They are my life line.
